Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, slicing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications Assist with food preparation tasks such as cooking, assembling dishes, and portioning meals in accordance with safety standards Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure consistency and quality in meal production Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly to meet food safety regulations Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies, restocking ingredients, and ensuring an efficient workflow Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep activities and meet service timelines Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred Hands-on experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong food handling skills Knowledge of menu planning, food safety management, and adhering to safety standards in production environments Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal preparation methods Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Experience in catering or large-scale food production is a plus Excellent communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and maintaining a smooth operation Join us as a Prep Person to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in food service!
