Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and prepping ingredients under supervision. Follow strict sanitation protocols to ensure all surfaces, equipment, and utensils meet sanitation standards. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies safely and efficiently. Maintain organization of dishware storage areas and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables. Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Requirements Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
