Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Pasta Makers and Dishwashers to join our vibrant culinary teams at both Elizabeth's Italian and Mezcal in Old Bridge. Our pasta makers should have experience in pasta production, but we can train the right person with basic prep experience. Our dishwashers are a vital part of our success and we are in need of hard working individuals with a positive attitude to join our team. Prepare fresh pasta according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish Operate kitchen equipment such as pasta machines, slicers, and other culinary tools safely and effectively Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and food prep stations in compliance with food safety standards Assist with meal preparation by slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients accurately using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Support the kitchen team by communicating effectively with cooks and other staff members to ensure smooth workflow Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards in production and prevent cross-contamination Requirements Previous experience in food service and restaurant kitchens, highly preferred Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Experience with food preparation techniques including slicing, portioning, and cooking pasta dishes Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as pasta makers, slicers, ovens, and dishwashing machines safely Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus Ability to stand for extended periods while performing tasks efficiently in a busy setting Join us if you're passionate about food industry standards, enjoy working as part of a dynamic team, and want to grow your culinary expertise!
