The Dishwasher plays an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently. You will be responsible for keeping dishes, cookware, utensils, and the dishwashing area clean and sanitized while making sure the kitchen and service teams have the supplies they need throughout service. You may also assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation and other kitchen support duties as needed. Key Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen items Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and sanitized Ensure dishes and utensils are cleaned promptly during service Distribute clean plates, bowls, cutlery, and other items to cooks, servers, and service stations Make sure clean utensils are readily available for the kitchen team Help prevent kitchen delays by keeping clean dishes and equipment available Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation as needed Wash produce, fish, meat, and chicken as assigned Assist with peeling vegetables and portioning ingredients Organize and properly store clean dishes and utensils Sweep and mop kitchen floors as part of closing duties Empty trash and maintain a clean kitchen environment Complete opening and closing support duties as assigned Assist with other reasonable kitchen support responsibilities when needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is dependable and punctual Works efficiently in a busy kitchen environment Pays attention to cleanliness and sanitation Can keep the dishwashing area organized during service Works well with cooks, servers, and other team members Is willing to assist with basic kitchen preparation when needed Can follow instructions and La Braise's cleaning and sanitation procedures Work Location La Braise African Grill 247 Morris Avenue Springfield, NJ 07081 In person
