About Us Living on the Veg is an independently owned vegan restaurant that has served the Manahawkin community for more than 20 years. We are a small, close-knit team working in a busy, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a dependable Dishwasher/Prep Cook who takes pride in keeping things clean, organized and moving. Reliability and availability to complete closing duties are essential. Responsibilities Wash and properly sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment Keep the dish area clean, organized and stocked Complete basic food-preparation tasks as assigned Maintain clean floors, work areas and waste stations Restock supplies and assist the kitchen during busy periods Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures Complete all assigned cleaning and closing duties before leaving What We're Looking For Dependable attendance and punctuality A strong work ethic and willingness to stay busy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Attention to cleanliness and organization A positive, team-oriented attitude Availability to work closing shifts is required Previous restaurant, dishwashing or food-preparation experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person Pay is $16.00-$17.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shared tips.
