Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our vibrant culinary environment. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen while assisting with food preparation and meal assembly. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to maintain cleanliness standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools Follow strict food handling procedures to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination in accordance with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning surfaces, sinks, floors, and storage areas regularly Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs or shortages Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation techniques Strong understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and team members Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to portion control guidelines Skilled in knife handling, slicing techniques, and basic culinary skills such as cooking and food presentation Experience with catering or restaurant environments is a plus Familiarity with cleaning protocols specific to food industry standards Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality standards Join us in creating delicious meals while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
