Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Train to assist in food preparation by slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety standards. Support meal assembly and plating by preparing ingredients according to menu specifications. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and ovens safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, storage areas, and dining spaces to meet health regulations. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination during food prep. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely service delivery. Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and team members. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with attention to detail. Familiarity with catering or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
