The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our cooks and food preparation staff, contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized workspace. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
