Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely. Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including cleaning vegetables or organizing supplies. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Handle manual tasks such as loading and unloading dish racks and moving heavy items with proper lifting techniques. Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper handling of food and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely. Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the shift.
