Job Description
Polisher Hayward | Carlton, OregonHayward is a nationally celebrated New Northwest restaurant located in the heart of Oregon wine country. Led by Executive Chef Kari Shaughnessy, a James Beard Award finalist and semifinalist, Hayward is known for its hyper-seasonal cooking, zero-waste approach, and deep relationships with local farms and producers.
We re looking for a part-time PM Polisher to join our kitchen team.
About the RoleThis is a straightforward role, but an incredibly valuable one. During dinner service, you ll work alongside our dishwasher to keep dishes, small wares, kitchen tools, ceramics, and silverware moving quickly and efficiently through the restaurant.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Drying and putting away clean plates, ceramics, kitchen tools, and small waresPolishing and organizing silverwareKeeping kitchen and service stations stocked with the items they need throughout the eveningWorking efficiently alongside the dishwasher to keep the dish area movingLight cleaning and maintaining a clean, organized workspaceHelping with basic closing and end-of-night organizationThis is a great gig for someone looking for a little extra part-time work in the evenings. While you ll be an important part of a busy restaurant team, it s also a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, staying organized, and quietly getting the job done.
What We re Looking ForNo restaurant experience is necessary we re happy to train the right person. More important to us is someone who is reliable, efficient, organized, and takes pride in doing a job well.
You ll need an Oregon Food Handler Card, non-slip shoes, and clean, comfortable clothing appropriate for working in a kitchen.
