Position Overview We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our high-volume restaurant team. This position plays an essential role in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently while assisting with daily food preparation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in cleanliness and organization, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the kitchen team. Responsibilities Dishwashing & Kitchen Maintenance Operate the dish machine and efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean and organized dish area throughout service. Keep kitchen floors, work areas, sinks, and equipment clean and sanitary. Properly handle and dispose of trash and recycling. Restock clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies throughout service. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Food Preparation Assist with daily food preparation according to recipes, portion standards, and direction from the Chef or Kitchen Manager. Wash, peel, cut, portion, and prepare fruits, vegetables, proteins, sauces, and other ingredients. Label, date, rotate, and properly store prepared food and ingredients. Maintain an organized and properly stocked prep area. Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries as needed. Help maintain proper inventory levels and communicate when supplies are running low. Team Support Work efficiently and communicate clearly with cooks, chefs, servers, and management. Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods as needed. Be willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities to support the overall operation. Maintain a positive, professional attitude, even during high-volume and high-pressure periods. Arrive on time, prepared to work, and ready to contribute to the team. Qualifications Previous restaurant, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry supplies. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Must be comfortable working around heat, water, cleaning chemicals, and commercial kitchen equipment.
