Note:
This is a 4 hour position, from 10:00am-2:00pm each school day (181 day position). On a 2-hour delay, the schedule stays the same.
Job Duties Include:
Set up and maintain the three-compartment sink for proper ware washing (wash, rinse, and sanitize). Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment. Prepare serving lines by setting out trays, plates, utensils, and other necessary items. Retrieve and stock pre-portioned fruit and other food items for meal service. Perform assigned meal service duties, including serving food or operating the cash register during first, second, and third lunch periods. Clean and restock serving lines between lunch periods. Clean and sanitize dining tables after all lunch periods have concluded. Remove remaining food from the serving line at the end of meal service and properly store or dispose of items in accordance with food safety procedures. Clean and sanitize pot sinks, disposal sinks, and surrounding work areas at the end of each day. Empty trash receptacles throughout the kitchen and cafeteria as needed. Transport trash to the designated dumpster or waste disposal area. Sweep and mop all assigned kitchen and food service areas daily. Monitor inventory levels and record items that are running low in the designated inventory tracking system. Communicate food usage and inventory needs to the bookkeeper or other designated staff member. Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations, including local, state, and federal requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
