Responsibilities Efficiently operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including handling ingredients and supporting culinary staff. Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and storage areas in compliance with kitchen health and safety standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques. Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation to prevent contamination or health hazards. Operate kitchen equipment responsibly and report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Experience Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous. Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning roles demonstrates readiness for this position. Knowledge of basic knife skills and food handling techniques is a plus for supporting culinary tasks.
