Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join the food service team at our hospital location. The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining clean and sanitized dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas while supporting the overall efficiency of the hospital's dietary department. The ideal candidate will be reliable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Operate commercial dishwashing and sanitizing equipment safely and properly.
Sort and organize clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen items.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishwashing areas, sinks, floors, counters, and equipment.
Remove trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies as needed.
Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishes and utensils for meal service.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and hospital safety procedures.
Assist dietary staff with basic kitchen duties when needed.
Report equipment problems, safety concerns, or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including proper hygiene and handwashing requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications
Must have Food handler's certification
Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
Previous dishwasher, kitchen, food service, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and kitchen equipment as required.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must maintain proper personal hygiene and professional appearance.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
Must be able to comply with hospital safety and sanitation requirements.
