This energetic position ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting food safety standards and smooth restaurant operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming space for both staff and guests. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing machines to efficiently clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Manually wash items that cannot go through the machine, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and removing used dishware from dining areas promptly. Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and dishwashing equipment. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving supplies. Assist in food handling activities during busy service periods, supporting overall restaurant operations. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and basic kitchen tools. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely. Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items are properly cleaned and sanitized according to health standards. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are important for supporting a cohesive work environment.
