POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Club B Manager, the Site Lead will oversee the Afterschool Program at Hilltop Heritage Middle School, Mason Middle School, or Meeker Middle School. Site Lead will manage the day-to-day operations of the Club B program, which includes Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO's), and Sports. The Site Lead is a .75 FTE, non-exempt/hourly position which is employed throughout the school year (September through June).

FUNCTION/TASKS

Administers safety plans as necessary. Manages day to day operations for the Club B program to include enrichments and sports programs. Serves as a liaison to Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) on site personnel: principals, custodial staff, classroom teachers; communicates with TPS administrative and custodial personnel to ensure staff awareness of Club B offerings at designated Middle School. Ensures announcements are provided during check in; collects and manages all attendance rosters; works with nutrition staff to ensure distribution of meals. Ensures supervision occurs in all programs, reports concerns to appropriate personnel. Manages youth interns to lend extra support in classrooms. Serves as sub teacher when needed. Ensures chain of custody, including check in, hand off to classroom instructors, check out and bus ridership. Interfaces with parents of children enrolled. Participates in recruitment and promotion for ELOs and sports. Ensures program quality and SEL roll out for on-site instructors; assists with surveys, data collection and performance outcomes Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 21 years of age; AA Degree and/or two (2) years experience in related field. Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or related degree preferred. Two years of experience working with youth or coordinating youth programs desired. Possess skills for instruction, direction, and guidance of youth with the ability to lead and control groups of youth in various recreational and educational activities and settings. Intermediate technology skills including but not limited to Google Workspace & Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively communicate. Ability to adapt to changes in a highly energetic work environment and other duties as assigned. Must be able to comply with drug-free workplace policy. Must pass a national criminal background check Driving Must have a reliable personal vehicle for business related travel. Valid WA State driver's license with acceptable 3 year MVR

Verification of Tier 2 Insurance standards. Willingness to travel within a designated region for community partnership visits and business meetings. Ability to successfully complete van driving; drug screen testing, training & requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Skills essential for successful communications include speaking and writing. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, being active and on your feet for a minimum of four hours; adapt to changes in a highly energetic work environment; other duties as assigned.

• In accordance with Washington Paid Sick Leave, you will accrue one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. You are eligible to use Paid Sick Leave after 30 days of continuous employment. 401(K)

• Accrues per pay period, totaling 1 week (30 hours) annually. Personal All In Day
