We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hospitality-minded Event Assistant to support the operations and execution of events at Denver Union Station. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and can confidently jump in wherever needed to help an event run smoothly.
ResponsibilitiesIndependantly set up meetings, lunches, and breaks for conference servicesAssist with event setup and breakdown, including satellite bar set-up, furniture moving, cleanup and resetting spacesHelp coordinate event logistics and ensure spaces are show-ready before guests arriveHelp manage event timelines and ensure scheduled activities stay on trackProvide a welcoming, professional presence for guests and event partnersMonitor event spaces and proactively address cleanliness, organization, and operational needsAssist with guest questions and direct guests to appropriate resourcesCommunicate quickly and effectively with the Events and Operations teamsIdentify issues before they become problems and take ownership of finding solutionsPerform other event-related duties as neededWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in events, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, venues, or a similar fast-paced environment preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and customer-service skillsAbility to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented when plans changeComfortable working independently and as part of a teamProfessional, dependable, and punctualComfortable being on your feet and physically assisting with event setup and breakdownAbility to interact confidently with guests, vendors, and event partnersA whatever it takes attitude with a strong sense of ownershipMust be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedulesEvent schedules vary based on programming and event needs. Open availability is required, including the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and some evenings.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and understands that no two events are exactly alike. Some days may involve detailed event preparation and vendor coordination, while others may require jumping in on the floor and helping make the event happen.
