Event Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator who is highly motivated and enjoys creating memorable experiences in a community setting. If developing ideas, curating social event plans and diving into details to ensure a fun and successful lifestyle excites you, then come join The Meadows Community Association!
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality events and activities, from start to finish.
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive calendar of events and activities that cater to a wide range of interests and preferences, including but not limited to fitness, wellness, cultural events, pet events, themed events, social clubs and groups, and social gatherings.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of all programs and events.
  • Seeking and incorporating feedback from residents to continually improve and create new program offerings.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our residents are provided with robust and relevant programs and activities.
  • Building strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and vendors to bring unique and engaging experiences to the community.
  • Coordinate event registrations and payments.
  • Prepare list of duties, recruit, and management of volunteers.
  • Weekly community electronic communication to deliver messages, promote events and activities.
  • Organize event committee meetings, take notes, and create after meeting action reports.
  • Coordination and booking of third-party vendors (performers, artists, speakers, musicians, etc.).
  • Participate in office meetings to review Event Outline and responsibilities prior to the event date.
  • Interacting with attendees and facilitating games, giveaways, and raffles.
  • Live social media coverage or other social media content gathering and assistance as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective order by planning and executing programs in advance.
  • Organization of event materials in storage room.

  • Project management skills with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • A proven track record of successful planning and executing events and activities.
  • Ability to multitask with a variety of people in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and outgoing individual who is passionate about creating memorable experiences.
  • Exhibit strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire volunteers.
  • Proven experience in creative problem-solving.
Customer Service:
Instill The Meadows mission and vision by providing an attitude of excellence and service to the community.
    Communication:
    Provide effective written and verbal communication.
    EXPERIENCE
    Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Community Event Coordination demonstrating proficiency in similar activity/event management, responsibilities or work-skills. This position requires constant updating and continual education through the updated literature, seminars and workshops.
    QUALIFICATIONS A
    good candidate will have a strong, established network of contacts such as entertainers, presenters, artists, caterers, etc. A well detailed portfolio of displayed past events and ideas Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of and experience with social media channels Valid driver's license
