Temporary Theater Events Coordinator Savannah College of Art and Design - 3.7 Savannah, GA Job Details Temporary | Full-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Social media platforms Driver's License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description 502632 Savannah, Georgia, United States Trustees Theater Hospitality and Operations Temporary Employee FT and PT Staff As a temporary theater events coordinator, you'll assist staff in managing events at Trustees Theater and Lucas Theatre for the Arts, SCAD Savannah's premier venues for performances, screenings, and talks. Trustees Theater, located on Broughton Street., is a state-of-the-art historic landmark dating back to Hollywood's golden age. Lucas Theatre for the Arts is an architectural marvel nestled around the corner from its counterpart in downtown Savannah. To support the theater team, you'll: Assist the executive director with the daily operations of SCAD theaters and festivals Manage calendars for both theaters Manage rental and in-house requests Coordinate all meeting requests for the executive director and staff, including weekly staff meetings Coordinate event-related requests, such as tech, concessions, linens, and catering, with theater leadership As part of this team, you'll; Occasionally assist the box office manager with shift coverage Manage events throughout the week and during festivals Co-manage all travel coordination for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival and aTVFest; oversee the preparation of the festival look book for both festivals; and oversee correspondence with industry reps as directed Manage travel documents and itineraries Candidates should ideally demonstrate: An ability to work independently An ability to supervise student teams Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, film, or a related discipline Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and social media platforms Ability to work nights and weekends Preferred qualifications: Experience in the festival industry Experience booking travel using the SAP Concur Travel System Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license Travel required: 10-20% Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
