Are you looking for meaningful part-time work where you can use your organizational and people skills to make a difference in your community? C-U at Home is seeking a Part-Time Volunteer & Event Coordinator to help engage volunteers, coordinate events, and connect individuals and community groups with our mission. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, organizing details, building relationships, and creating positive experiences. This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, with some increased hours around major events. Some evening or weekend availability will be needed for events. What You'll Do Recruit, welcome, train, schedule, and support individual volunteers and volunteer groups Help create meaningful opportunities for volunteers to engage with C-U at Home Coordinate volunteer schedules and in-kind donations from individuals, churches, businesses, and community groups Help recognize and appreciate our volunteers Coordinate C-U at Home events and assist with third-party fundraising and awareness events Assist with donor and community engagement Help communicate C-U at Home's mission and impact Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members Represent C-U at Home professionally and positively in the community
Requirements:
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, flexible, welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide variety of people.
Qualifications include:
Associate's degree in a related field or at least two years of relevant volunteer coordination experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good judgment and the ability to adapt when plans change Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using Microsoft and Google tools Ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds Experience working with volunteers, events, nonprofits, or community organizations is a plus Experience with or a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness is preferred These qualifications reflect the current position description.
