Job Description

The Mill Top is looking for a take charge professional with ability to support the Event Coordinators in preparing and implementing events. This job takes place (mostly) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work weekends and late nights. The associate should have a love for special event management, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with staff and customers. Desired candidate is a team player, with a positive attitude, resourceful nature and excellent problem solving capabilities. Must be able to climb stairs and remain standing for long periods of time.
Duties include:
  • During the course of the event, associates serve as a liaison between vendors, guests, family, bridal party and Mill Top staff to ensure a smooth event.
  • Overseeing the flow and execution of the timeline.
  • Help coordinators with getting the bridal party down the aisle.
  • Setting up an event which could include linens, decorations, napkin folding, etc.
  • Flipping the room from ceremony to reception.
  • Tearing down and clearing of the the space after an event.
Skill/Qualifications:
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under possible high stress situations
  • Professional etiquette is a must
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking up and sharing opinions
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
  • Must be personable, outgoing, and not intimidated by large crowd.
  • Ability to be a team player, involved in multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff.
