Field and Events Coordinator | Lauren Jewett for Congress The June Group Metairie, LA Job Details Part-time | Contract 15 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Volunteer management Database management Organizational skills Management reporting Full Job Description Position Overview Lauren Jewett for Congress (D-LA) is hiring a Field and Events Coordinator to lead all in-person campaign activity across LA-1. This is a hands-on, on-the-ground role: canvass launches, community events, and candidate appearances. The campaign's virtual volunteer and voter contact program is handled by a separate manager; this position is dedicated entirely to in-person work. Hours & Compensation 20-30 hours per week. Compensation commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Plan and run all canvass launches, including site logistics, volunteer check-in, and turf/materials on the ground Plan and execute all in-person campaign events: community events, coalition gatherings, candidate appearances, and rallies Scout and secure event locations; manage permits, timelines, and day-of logistics Coordinate on-site staffing and volunteer roles for each event Serve as the point person for in-person turnout, working alongside the virtual volunteer and voter contact manager to make sure canvass and event participation is coordinated across both programs Manage event budgets, vendors, and equipment Travel throughout LA-1 as needed to walk sites, meet local partners, and run events Represent the campaign at community events and coalition meetings Work closely with the candidate and campaign manager to align the in-person field calendar with overall campaign strategy Qualifications Must be based in Louisiana's 1st Congressional District Experience in field organizing, event planning, or campaign logistics, campaign experience preferred Comfortable working in person Strong organizational skills and follow-through; able to run multiple events and canvasses in the same week Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort talking to strangers, on doors and at events Self-starter who can work independently and problem-solve in a fast-moving campaign environment Reliable transportation, given the travel required across the district Availability for evening and weekend work as the event calendar demands People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
