Building Attendant Macomb Community College - 4.1 Clinton Township, MI Job Details Part-time $17.22 - $18.54 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Function Performs operational tasks related to utilization of the venue; assists in the set-up, coordination and execution of activities in the event venue and related departmental and college functions; responsible for on-site assistance of events taking place in any of the Conference and Event Services event venues or other buildings as assigned. Job Responsibilities Assist the Event Venue Manager or Coordinator in handling diverse events and functions. Performs and supports all areas of Conference and Event Services as assigned. Set up and tear down furniture/room layout to meet customer specifications. Assists in setting up, operating, maintaining, inventorying and storing venue equipment Interfaces effectively with internal and external clients as an on-site facility representative in customer service and guest relations. Set up meetings, conferences, lectures, live music, dance, and other events as assigned. Communicate effectively with clients and event staff. Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of all departmental equipment. Walk through event building and report any unusual incidents or problems to the appropriate personnel. Uphold and enforce institutional policies, procedures, and facility regulations to ensure a safe and compliant environment. Function as the representative of Conference and Event Services to the public as assigned. Explains and adheres to health, safety, fire and department policies, procedures and regulations. May provide support in other buildings as assigned. Perform related duties as assigned. Education High school diploma; On-the-job training will be provided. Qualifications Two years' related experience in event planning, event operations. grounds and facilities or hospitality services preferred.
