Chamber Executive Director/CEO SUMMARY:
The Chamber of Commerce Services and Events Coordinator is one of the public faces of the Chamber to members, prospective members, and the public. The position answers questions, addresses issues and concerns, and coordinates input from other staff. The coordinator ensures the Chamber has accurate member information and assists with organizing and executing member benefits, special events, and programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Services Represent the Chamber with a positive and professional working image Develop a deep understanding of Chamber operations, partner organizations, and the general community to knowledgeably respond to inquiries Deliver exceptional customer service in-person, over the phone, and by email Coordinate coverage with other staff of the Visitor Center / Chamber office front desk during business hours Maintain information center brochures, magazines, and maps Coordinate distribution of Discovery Guides to sites across the state and mail to EMT leads weekly Record Visitor Center door counts to EMT monthly Membership Services Communicate the value of Chamber membership to prospective members Onboard new members, in conjunction with staff Develop working relationships with members to help them maximize their membership Make updates to member information in Chamber Master Coordinate and conduct annual lodging visits Send e-referrals for lodging requests Ambassador Program Recruit, engage, train, and support members Coordinate monthly meetings and report on activities to Chamber Board Organize ribbon cuttings, member visits, and prospective member engagements Recruit Ambassador volunteers to help at Chamber events Event Coordination Support, facilitate, and attend Chamber events, in conjunction with the Executive Director and staff - including but not limited to the annual membership meeting, ribbon cuttings, Business Buzz and Bites, Summer Sip Off, 4th of July Parade, Water Wars, Heart of the Holidays and Tree Lighting, Cor PowerSports snowmobile race. Conduct event sponsor calls, in conjunction with the Executive Director and staff Manage volunteers at events Set up, and tear down of each event Administrative Support Attend monthly Chamber Board meetings and report on activities Order and maintain supplies for office and wayside rest Perform administrative and clerical duties as requested - including processing mail, data entry, and composing thank you letters Suggest ideas to improve efficiency Assist with design and proof reading of Discovery Guide Conduct sales calls for the Discovery Guide and Happy Pac coupon book, in conjunction with the Executive Director and staff Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Canva, Facebook, and Instagram. Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Chamber staff, members, volunteers, and community partners. Physical and Schedule Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, including up to 8 hours when required. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, including the 4th of July and the day after Thanksgiving, as needed for Chamber events and operations.
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
