DESCRIPTION

We are looking for energetic, dependable, and friendly special event staff to help create fun and memorable experiences for our guests. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying active, and being part of a team in a fast-paced event environment. Special event staff will assist with on-site event setup and cleanup, lead and facilitate activities, interact with guests, and help ensure each event runs smoothly. Events are held at various locations and include evenings and weekends. The event schedule various throughout the season, providing flexible opportunities. We host 20+ special events throughout the year, offering a fun and diverse range of opportunities for our event staff. Events include farmers market, new year's eve party, sweetheart dance, concerts, boo bash and many other community and special events.

DUTIES INCLUDE

Assist with setting up and taking down event equipment, decor, activities and supplies. Help create a welcoming, organized and engaging event environment for guests. Lead and facilitate games, activities and other event experiences. Interact positively and professionally with children, families, and other event guests. Monitor activities and help maintain a safe, fun and enjoyable environment. Assist with troubleshooting and addressing unexpected event needs. Help keep event areas clean, organized and presentable throughout the event. Work collaboratively with other event staff and follow directions from event coordinator and supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Friendly, outgoing and comfortable interacting with people of all ages. Customer service and teamwork skills. Able to take direction and work independently when needed. Must be comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, setting up and breaking down event equipment. Must be able to lift and move 30 pounds. Must be at least 16 years old OTHER Hours and shifts vary depending on the event schedule.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in various indoor and outdoor event settings and involves frequent interaction with the public. Employees may work evenings, weekends, and holidays and may be exposed to varying weather conditions. The position requires standing, walking, assisting with event setup and cleanup, and frequently lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing 20-30 pounds.
