Job Description

Job Details Description Duff Capital Investors is currently seeking an Events Coordinator to join its marketing department. Located at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, Mississippi, our department oversees the branding and promotion for over 20 companies within the Duff family, including Southern Tire Mart. You'll work closely with the team to develop and execute event plans for intimate gatherings to large scale conferences for our diverse portfolio of companies. We need a self-motivated individual with strong organizational, negotiating, and detail-oriented skills. This is an on-site position although some travel is required. Responsibilities Conceptualize event and develop timelines and schedules including run-of-show documents Create and manage event budget Select and coordinate vendors and venues Work closely with marketing team on all aspects including printed materials, decorations, registration, and execution of event On-site management of event Produce after event summary Coordinate tasks using WRIKE project management software Support Marketing Team as required Ideal Qualities Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills Exceptional planning ability Proactive and eager to learn Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Fundamental understanding of marketing, advertising, and branding Prior use of project management software a plus Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field 3-5 years' experience in event planning Demonstrable staff and volunteer management Proficient computer skills Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback Professional presentation and communication skills Effective time management and multitasking abilities
