SCARE
ACTORS & EVENT STAFF
The Woods of Lost Souls — Columbia Station, Ohio Seasonal / Part-Time Halloween Season—with possible additional peak nights Become Part of the Woods The Woods of Lost Souls is a cinematic outdoor haunted attraction hidden deep within the dark woods of Columbia Station. We're building more than a haunted trail—we're creating an immersive experience that guests will remember long after they leave. We're looking for dependable, energetic people who want to perform, protect our guests, or help keep the entire event running smoothly.
OPEN POSITIONSSCARE ACTORS
Bring the woods to life through jump scares, immersive characters, scene acting, and improvisation.
Responsibilities include:
Performing in character throughout the haunted trails and scenes Following scare timing, safety cues, and scene-reset procedures Remaining in costume, makeup, and character throughout the night Working with other actors to create memorable guest experiences Following direction from scene leaders and event management You may be a great fit if you are: Energetic, creative, coachable, and comfortable performing Able to improvise and interact with guests while staying in character Comfortable working outdoors in darkness, fog, loud sounds, and strobe lighting At least 17 years old—parental consent is required for anyone under 18
Pay:

SECURITY & EVENT SAFETY
Help maintain a safe and organized environment for guests, actors, and staff.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring guest flow and enforcing event rules professionally Watching trails, queues, entrances, exits, and restricted areas Responding to minor incidents and escalating concerns when necessary Communicating with event managers and first responders when required Helping ensure guests and staff follow established safety procedures You may be a great fit if you are: Calm under pressure with strong communication skills Reliable, observant, professional, and guest-focused At least 18 years old Experienced in security, law enforcement, military service, event safety, or crowd management Previous security experience, guard cards, certifications, CPR, or first-aid training are a plus. A background check may be required.
Pay:
Starting at $14 per hour , based on experience, responsibilities, and certifications.
PARKING & GUEST SERVICES
Be one of the first people our guests meet and help create an organized, welcoming arrival experience.
Responsibilities include:
Directing vehicles and managing parking areas Supporting shuttle loading and unloading when needed Greeting guests and answering general event questions Organizing lines and helping manage guest flow Setting up and maintaining cones, signs, lighting, and parking equipment Assisting with general setup and cleanup You may be a great fit if you are: Friendly, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to give clear directions Comfortable working outdoors and standing for extended periods Able to remain patient and professional during busy periods At least 18 years old preferred

Starting at $14per hour , based on experience and responsibilities.

PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
This is an outdoor nighttime event located on natural wooded terrain.
Team members may encounter:
Tree roots, dirt, mud, hills, and uneven walking surfaces Darkness and low-light conditions Fog effects, strobe lighting, sudden noises, and loud sound effects Changing fall weather and cooler nighttime temperatures Applicants must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, remain alert throughout their shift, follow all safety procedures, and communicate effectively with event management.
