Sioux Falls, SD Salary:
N egotiatble - this is a W2 salaried position Expected schedule: ~40 hours per week, (negotiable) with both in-person and virtual responsibilities South Dakota Aerial & Arts is a growing, locally owned, women-owned aerial arts studio and circus entertainment company in Sioux Falls. We offer aerial and bungee classes, parties, performances, community events, and the Dakota Aerial Championship. Our business brings together creativity, movement, and a little circus magic. Behind that magic are schedules, emails, registrations, equipment, and plenty of moving pieces. We're looking for a Studio & Event Manager who enjoys bringing those pieces together and helping people have a great experience. We care about creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where children, teens, and adults can build confidence, learn new skills, and feel supported. We're looking for someone who brings that same care to our customers, staff, performers, and event partners. About the role You'll work closely with our two owners and collaborate with our coaches, administrative staff, and performers to support daily studio operations and coordinate shows, competitions, and events. We want someone who can learn our processes, notice what needs attention, and follow projects through to completion. You should be comfortable asking thoughtful questions, making decisions within your responsibilities, and keeping others informed. Some administrative responsibilities can be completed virtually. Regular in-person availability at the studio and for events is essential, including some evenings and weekends. What you'll do Coordinate studio schedules, registrations, parties, and day-to-day administrative needs. Respond to customer questions by email, phone, and in person with warmth, clarity, and timely follow-through. Help manage event inquiries, booking details, paperwork, deadlines, and client communication. Coordinate logistics for performances, shows, community events, and the Dakota Aerial Championship. Organize staff and performer availability, event schedules, and setup and teardown plans. Keep calendars, records, checklists, and project information accurate and easy for the team to use. Support marketing through social media, email updates, website information, and promotional materials. Help improve processes as the business grows, identifying ways to reduce confusion and make work more efficient. Provide practical support during busy studio periods and events, including check-in, preparation, and coordination. Keep the owners informed of progress, priorities, and issues that need their attention. Who will thrive here You're organized, approachable, and dependable. You can move between a detailed spreadsheet, a parent's question, and an event deadline without losing track of what needs to happen next. You take ownership of your work and communicate before a small problem becomes a bigger one. You're comfortable in a creative environment where plans sometimes change, and you can respond calmly while keeping people and deadlines in mind. We're looking for: Experience in operations, administration, customer service, scheduling, event coordination, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to manage several projects and follow through on details. Comfort learning scheduling, registration, spreadsheet, and communication software. Good judgment, discretion, and professionalism when working with families, staff, and clients. Availability for scheduled evening and weekend responsibilities. An interest in supporting a growing small business and contributing ideas as you learn. Experience with a studio, fitness facility, performing arts organization, or small business is helpful. Aerial or circus experience is not required. Why work with us Your work will help make classes, performances, and competitions happen. You'll work directly with the owners, build relationships with our community, and have an opportunity to shape the systems that support our next stage of growth. This is a hands-on role with variety, responsibility, and room to contribute. Some days involve registrations and schedules; others involve helping a show come together. We value people who care about the details and the people behind them. To apply Please submit your résumé and a brief introduction explaining why this role interests you. Include an example of a project, event, or process you helped organize and your availability for in-person, evening, and weekend work.
