Development About Network of Community Ministries Network of Community Ministries is a nonprofit organization serving the Richardson area and surrounding communities with programs that provide food, clothing, financial assistance, and pathways to self-sufficiency. We believe in building strong community connections to fight hunger and empower lives. Position Summary The Events & Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing Network's mission by delivering exceptional event experiences and cultivating strong corporate partnerships. This position leads the planning, execution, and volunteer committee coordination for Network's two signature fundraising events: the Annual Golf Outing and Fork Off to Fight Hunger. Between major events, the Events & Community Engagement Coordinator nurtures year-round corporate partner relationships, ensuring meaningful engagement beyond traditional sponsorships. The role also serves as the primary point of contact for Network's quarterly community events—including Boo Bash, Supper with Santa, Spring Fling, and Summer Kickoff—as well as special Seniors' Net events such as the Mother's Day Tea and Senior Prom. In addition, the coordinator provides support for third-party fundraising initiatives. This position also functions as the onsite Events Coordinator for external groups renting Network's Community Room, ensuring a positive and mission-aligned guest experience. Key Responsibilities Fundraising Event Management
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Network's two signature fundraising events: the Annual Golf Outing and Fork Off to Fight Hunger.
  • Manage volunteer committees by providing clear communication, defined expectations, and timely follow-up to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Oversee all event logistics, including vendor management, contract coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation. Corporate Engagement
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, ensuring meaningful engagement beyond sponsorship commitments.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for year-round corporate involvement, recognition, and stewardship. Community & Third-Party Events
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quarterly community events and special Seniors' Net events, ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality experiences.
  • Provide guidance and support for third-party fundraising initiatives, including communication, materials, and basic event logistics.
  • Assist with event promotion and volunteer engagement to maximize community participation. Administrative & Team Support
  • Track and manage event budgets, timelines, and documentation to ensure accuracy, transparency, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Development team on marketing, communications, donor stewardship, and organizational storytelling related to events.
  • Maintain event records, reports, and data needed for evaluation and ongoing relationship management. Qualifications
Required:
o Minimum 2-5 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit development. o Prior nonprofit experience is required. o Strong organizational and project management skills. o Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening/weekend events.
