About the
Role:
The Catering Service Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of catering events from inception to completion. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of catering services, including menu planning, client communication, logistics, and on-site event management. The specialist works closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized and high-quality catering experience. They also collaborate with kitchen staff, vendors, and service teams to guarantee timely delivery and exceptional service standards. Ultimately, the role aims to enhance client satisfaction and contribute to the company s reputation for excellence in catering services across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in catering services or hospitality management. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field. Experience with event planning software and inventory management systems. Certification in food safety and handling (e.g., ServSafe). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Bilingual skills to effectively communicate with diverse client bases.
Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to determine event requirements, including menu selections, dietary restrictions, and service style. Coordinate with culinary and service teams to plan and execute catering events efficiently and professionally. Manage logistics such as transportation, setup, and breakdown of catering equipment and supplies. Oversee on-site event operations to ensure smooth service delivery and address any issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of orders, client communications, and inventory to support operational efficiency.

The Catering Service Specialist utilizes strong communication skills daily to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members, ensuring all event details are clearly understood and executed.
