OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

The Sanitation Team Member's primary role is to operate a tray washing machine, remove trash, clean live bird crates, and to clean outside around the live bird area. Natural State Processing is looking for an independent worker who has a proven track record of paying attention to detail and ensuring sanitary conditions are met. A successful candidate has the ability to see the big picture while executing on a Natural State operational level to improve overall performance. Additionally, s/he is never satisfied with the status quo. The Sanitation Team Member reports to the Plant Manager. S/he must develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers. The Sanitation Team Member will work in a team approach with the staff, management team, vendor partners, and customers to establish, maintain, measure, and revise Natural State's operational systems. S/he must be a team player who is reliable and understands their dependability is important for the team's success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate tray washing machine Remove trash Perform Lock out-Tag out for equipment and break down equipment for cleaning Cleaning and sanitizing of production rooms for pre-operational checks Maintain sanitary practices and standards Follow all safety practices Assure that all quality standards are followed Report potential issues to management Attend staff and department meetings if applicable Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED certificate preferred Sanitation experience not necessary but preferred Understands the necessary safety requirements when operating in a food preparation environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

$12.00 per hour is starting pay. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done. Experience is preferred but not necessary.
