Job Overview We are a small, family-owned catering business, grocery store, and deli looking for reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused team members to join our team. We are currently hiring for three positions: Deli Clerk, Cashier, and Kitchen Help . We are looking for people who take pride in their work, show up consistently, work well with others, and genuinely enjoy helping customers. Great customer service is extremely important to us , and we want team members who are friendly, professional, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure our customers have a positive experience.

Responsibilities Deli Clerk:

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly, helpful service. Assist customers with product selections and confidently recommend or upsell products when appropriate. Prepare and package food orders while maintaining quality and accuracy. Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, including food preparation areas, equipment, and customer service stations. Safely operate equipment such as meat slicers, ovens, refrigerators, and other food preparation tools. Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service.

Cashier:

Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit, and other transactions. Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow proper cash-handling procedures. Greet customers and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service. Answer customer questions and assist with product selections. Recommend products and identify opportunities to upsell when appropriate. Stock and face shelves to keep the store clean, organized, and well-presented. Maintain a clean and welcoming checkout and customer service area.

Kitchen Help:

Assist with food preparation, packaging, and customer orders. Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food preparation area. Safely operate kitchen equipment and food preparation tools. Assist with customer orders and ensure they are prepared accurately and on time. Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications & Experience Reliable and dependable attendance is essential. Strong customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude. Ability to work well with coworkers and contribute to a team environment. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a deli, grocery store, quick-service restaurant, fast-food restaurant, kitchen, or cashiering role is preferred. Food preparation, food handling, and sanitation experience is a plus. Cash-handling or retail transaction experience is preferred for cashier applicants. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Must be comfortable interacting with customers and providing a high level of service. Willingness to learn and take on different responsibilities as needed.
