Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused Part-Time Deli Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for opening the deli, preparing and serving fresh food items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering excellent customer service. This role works closely with our Deli Manager, to ensure daily deli operations run smoothly and that food quality, food safety, and customer service standards are consistently met.

Schedule :

5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 3 to 4 days per week Additional shifts may be available Minimum of one weekend shift per month required Duties & Responsibilities Key Area & Tasks Food Preparation & Service Prepare sandwiches, salads, and hot food items Serve customers promptly and accurately Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper presentation Food Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Properly store and rotate food items Maintain cleanliness of food preparation equipment and workstations Customer Service Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Answer questions about products and menu items Resolve customer concerns courteously Cash Handling & Sales Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions Operate the cash register accurately Balance transactions and follow company procedures Store Maintenance & Stocking Stock shelves, coolers, and deli displays Monitor inventory levels and report shortages Keep the deli and store areas clean, organized, and well stocked Inventory Support Assist with tracking inventory Help receive and organize deliveries Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste Qualifications & Requirements Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is preferred, but not required Ability to quickly learn and operate POS systems and follow store procedures Additional Requirements Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
