Responsibilities Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate POS systems such as Aloha and Micros for processing sales, cash handling, and managing customer orders efficiently. Take customer orders with enthusiasm, upsell menu items when appropriate, and ensure accurate order entry and delivery. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment to meet sanitation standards. Manage cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Assist with food safety management by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Support team members with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and restocking supplies to ensure a welcoming environment for guests. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is highly preferred; familiarity with POS systems. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining food safety standards. Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with food preparation, food handling, sanitation practices, and serving in a restaurant or café setting is desirable. Reliable team player with a positive attitude eager to learn new skills in the food industry.
