Kitchen Staff Battle Hill Brewing Company is a long-established full-service restaurant and brewery that has been in business since 2015. Our focus is on customer service, and our goal is to provide our guests with the best dining experience possible where food, beer, and service is unmatched. As we continue to expand our team, we are looking for an individual who can work as a positive team member, has experience in a commercial kitchen, and who is capable of filling the following stations: food prep, expediter, grill cook, sandwich/salad station. Our kitchen functions as one unified team where every team member is skilled and willing to work in any role at any given time, so a requirement of the job is the willingness to do any role from prep to expediting. We are looking for an individual who shows initiative, can work independently, who has customer service and high-quality work on the forefront of his/her mind, can work collaboratively with others, and who is able to take direction from our Kitchen Manager. Commercial kitchen experience is preferred, and we will train/teach any missing required skills for the final candidate. Hours will start part-time to make sure this is a fit for both the final candidate and the business, and will have the opportunity to work up to full-time. Located in Fort Ann (only 15/20 minutes from Glens Falls/Queensbury/Lake George area), we keep a healthy work culture; we believe in working together collaboratively in a positive work environment of respect and hard work. We have a close-knit staff that works very well with each other and enjoys coming to work each day. The restaurant is open to the public on Wednesdays-Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m., and on Sundays from 11:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. There are no late nights with this position. Free shift meal is included and there is a 20% discount for all retail or when dining outside of work hours. Range of pay is $16-$20 depending on experience and performance.

Description of this position:

Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food products to customers in a timely manner, according to established recipes, standards, and procedures. Be willing to work in the following roles as necessary: prep, grill, sandwich station, expediter, dish station.

Understand all kitchen work stations and assist other kitchen team members to be successful. Follow proper handling, maintenance, and storage of ordered items. Keep cleaning and food safety requirements at the highest standards. Personal qualities required Prior commercial kitchen experience preferred Ability to work as a team in respectful manners Flexibility Ability to work independently High levels of skill in these areas: pre-planning, multi-tasking, organization, and self-discipline Clear communication Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a team Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices, food safety, and sanitation standards. We will teach skills that are necessary to be successful for the position.
