Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow. Take orders accurately using square POS systems, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales while maintaining genuine enthusiasm. Provide attentive guest service by answering questions about menu options, food safety procedures, and restaurant amenities. Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage basic math calculations for bills and tips. Assist with food handling, packaging orders for hand off, refilling food trays, and maintaining cleanliness standards in compliance with sanitation regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and uphold food safety standards in food preparation areas. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or customer service Familiarity with POS systems including square Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming environment. Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and basic food handling procedures. Experience working in food settings is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential.
