We're growing our team and looking for compassionate, dependable animal lovers to provide exceptional pet care throughout Whidbey Island. This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor (1099) position that allows you to build a schedule around your availability. Whether you're interested in dog walking, pet sitting, bathing, or grooming, we'd love to hear from you. You do not need to offer every service to apply. We're happy to hire applicants who specialize in one area, while those with experience in multiple services may have access to additional scheduling opportunities. Services May Include Dog walking (all breeds, sizes, and temperaments) In-home pet sitting and drop-in visits Bathing and basic coat care Nail trims Grooming services (for experienced groomers) What We're Looking For A genuine love for animals and their well-being Comfortable working with a variety of pets and personalities Dependable, trustworthy, and professional Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Reliable personal transportation (we serve all of Whidbey Island) Reliable smartphone and phone service for scheduling, navigation, and client communication Grooming experience is preferred for grooming applicants but is not required for other positions Background check and/or drug and alcohol screening may be required Experience Preferred (but not required) Previous experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, or other companion animals Veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience is a strong plus Bathing, pet grooming, or animal behavior experience Professional pet sitting or overnight in-home pet care Animal shelter, rescue, kennel, daycare, or boarding experience Position Details Part-time 1099 Independent Contractor Paid per completed service (rates vary by service type) Flexible scheduling based on your availability Opportunities for additional training, expanded responsibilities, and increased earning potential We're looking for team members who are reliable, compassionate, adaptable, and committed to providing exceptional care to every pet we serve.
