Darcie Kent Vineyards in Livermore, CA is seeking individuals who have a passion for wine, art, and people for our Tasting Gallery. Candidates must be articulate, professional, enthusiastic, energetic and able to provide superior customer service and hospitality to our guests. Our Tasting Gallery is located at 7000 Tesla Road in Livermore and is open 7 days a week. Successful candidates will be available to work some weekend shifts plus some evening special events and occasional holidays. Previous tasting room and/or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
Availability Expectations:
Tasting Room Associates are expected to maintain a minimum availability of three (3) days per month. As a hospitality-driven business, weekends, holidays, and special release events are critical to our operations. Holiday shifts are assigned by a lottery system to ensure fairness across the team, and all associates must maintain sufficient availability to support holiday operations throughout the year. Requests for time off during holidays or wine club release weekends (dates shared at least 6 months in advance) will be considered when possible; however, approval cannot be guaranteed due to business needs.
Responsibilities:
Greet and serve guests and provide them with an exceptional wine tasting experience Educate and inform guests about Darcie Kent wines, wine styles, and wine-making techniques Tell the Darcie Kent Vineyards story and history Sell wine and sign-up guests as wine club members Educate and inform guests about Darcie Kent's art featured in our gallery and on our wine labels Handle routine point-of-sale (POS) transactions and customer orders via an iPad based system Maintain a neat and orderly work environment and assist with tasting room housekeeping Represent the brand at off-site events as required Maintain a professional appearance at all times Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the
Tasting Room Manager Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older and able to serve alcohol. Passion for hospitality and providing outstanding customer service. Interest in wine or willingness to learn about wine and winemaking. Retail or sales experience preferred (wine, art, or hospitality experience is a plus). Excellent communication skills; outgoing, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented. Comfortable recommending products and meeting sales goals. Experience with POS systems (WineDirect/iPad) is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Maintain a neat, professional appearance. Reliable transportation required.
Compensation Information:
