We build algae based educational kits that teach students about the other half of photosynthesis: algae. About the role This is a junior to mid level generalist job for someone who likes science and likes getting things out the door. At its core it is an administrative coordinator position, but you will also be in the lab, behind a camera, and packing boxes. We are a small team, so every day looks a little different. Your time will split roughly evenly across four areas. Coordinating with teachers and organizations about 25% Work with teachers and partner organizations on educational prototype development Follow up with teachers on how their classroom work is going Thank teachers for their orders and keep in touch Content and communication about 25% Capture photo and video content in the lab and around the business Edit videos for social media Keep our social media posting on schedule, following a content plan built with the team Pull, pack and ship about 25% Assemble kits and check them against the bill of materials Package and ship orders Everyone here takes part in this work, and it will be part of your daily routine Administrative support about 25% Answer phone calls and teacher inquiries Follow up on customer orders Track incoming orders from vendors, including Amazon Help out wherever the team needs it Lab work From time to time you will also help in the laboratory. Tasks may include:
