No health benefits Phsyical work - must be able to lift up to 60lbs, and be on feet for most of the shift Opportunities across 3 different shifts: M-Th 5am to 3pm, 2:30pm to 12:30am F-Sun 6am-6pm Current opening is temporary for ~1 week to help with a project that requires extra hands. good candidates may be worked into regular schedule but that should not be an expectation. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our team in a fast-paced food processing plant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production and packaging of food products while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Support food production
Activities:
Unload, inspect and recieve inbound materials to the warehouse (use of pallet jack, and forklift) Weighing and blending ingredients to recipe - ensuing accuracy, tracking LOT codes used and completing inventory of remaining ingredients. Load 50lb bags into the mixer while excluding any foreign material and following cleanlieness standards. Support equipment operation, room to grow into the equipment operator role as training is completed, if aptitude exists Inspect and package finished product and palletize. Manage reworked units, properly disposition any damaged, high or low weight units to be reprocessed. Support the operator in indentifying and correcting any issues causing units to be out of specification. Support cleaning between product cycles, safely clean and test food production equipment for cleanlieness and ensure proper hygiene and food safety. Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety throughout the production process. Maintain sanitation standards within the production area to prevent contamination. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic troubleshooting as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards. Utilize basic math skills for inventory tracking and measurement tasks. Safely operate forklifts for material handling when necessary. Skills Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and CGMP practices related to food safety would be a Plus, can train as needed Experience in food production or processing environments is preferred. Preference for prior Manufacturing experience Attention to detail, ability to maintain high production rate while watching for quality issues. Safety and quality are first, but production rate is critical to profitability Basic math skills for accurate measurement and inventory management. Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
