As a Kitchen Operator / Food Production Operator , you'll prepare and cook products according to established recipes and batch formulas while operating commercial food-processing equipment and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. Kitchen Operator Job Responsibilities Accurately weigh and measure ingredients according to batch sheets and production formulas Prepare and cook food products according to established recipes and specifications Operate commercial kitchen and food-processing equipment including kettles, mixers, pumps, and related machinery Monitor cooking temperatures, processing times, and batch quality Inspect products before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met Clean, inspect, sanitize, assemble, and disassemble production equipment Follow and document batching formulas and complete required production paperwork Maintain accurate production and quality records Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines, food safety standards, and company safety procedures Work closely with production team members to coordinate daily manufacturing activities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe food production environment What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Strong attention to detail Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure ingredients Ability to read and follow detailed recipes, batch sheets, and written instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Previous food production, manufacturing, kitchen, batch processing, or machine operation experience is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and moving materials Comfortable working in refrigerated, humid, or temperature-controlled environments Ability to safely operate and clean industrial food-processing equipment Schedule Primarily weekday day shifts Occasional weekends may be required Actual work hours may vary based on production needs Must be willing to work varying shifts when needed Training & Career Growth Training is provided!
