Key Responsibilities Providing an ultra-premium spirits industry experience to all visitors, including consumers, industry representatives, and private event attendees. Learning and subsequently communicating the basics of our product and process knowledge. Conducting tastings for individuals, groups, and private events. Up-sell and operate our reservation and point-of-sale system with confidence. Availability to support daily shifts between Friday - Sunday, 11am - 6pm. Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned & willing to identify and communicate any continuous improvement ideas to leadership. Maintaining a high standard of accuracy for Virginia ABC Inventory and Compliance processes. Supporting Visitors Center teammates and leadership with other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong customer service skills along with a professional and engaging demeanor Great ability to communicate and work well in a team-based highly collaborative environment. Applicant must be dependable, reliable, have track record of on-time attendance, professional, and comfortable working with the public. Must be at least 21years of age, capable of lifting 30 lbs., and be able to stand for extended periods of time Proficiency with computers and technology Self-motivated and operates with a sense of urgency and willingness to learn Open-minded and positive thinker High School Diploma or Equivalent Desired Experience Relevant experience An interest in whisky and the wine & spirits industry Experience in bartending & high-end customer service Local beverage marketing & sales experience Working with reservation, retail, and POS systems (Shopify)

Compensation Job Type:

Part-Time Pay:

$15.50 per hour, plus tips

Tips:

Tips will be split at the end of each day amongst all team members staffing the Visitors Center proportionally with how many hours were worked for the day

Standard Hours:

8-16 hours weekly This position is non-exempt from minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act, accordingly this position will be eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
