Job Description

Taproom Manager Volition BrewingVolition Brewing is looking for a full-time Taproom Manager to lead our taproom team and oversee day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on working manager position you ll have dedicated admin time each week, but you ll also be behind the bar working alongside your team. We re looking for someone who knows great hospitality, can keep a taproom organized, and is comfortable taking ownership of the operation.

The Role30 40 hours per weekApproximately 5 15 hours of dedicated admin time which would be $25 - $28/hrRemaining hours spent beertending at and leading shifts which averages about $30 - $50/hr with tipsManage, train, and support our Beertender teamCreate staff schedules and coordinate shift coverageManage taproom inventory, ordering, and purchasingKeep taproom supplies, merchandise, and operational necessities stockedMaintain Square POS, menus, pricing, and taproom offeringsOversee cash handling and daily operating proceduresHelp coordinate beer releases, events, and community activitiesMaintain taproom equipment and communicate maintenance needsWork with brewery leadership to improve taproom operations and guest experienceMost importantly: lead from behind the bar and create a place people want to drink and workWhat We're Looking ForHospitality, bar, restaurant, brewery, or taproom experiencePrevious leadership experience preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsComfortable managing staff, schedules, inventory, and orderingAble to work independently and take ownership of the taproomFriendly, reliable, and willing to jump in wherever neededCraft beer knowledge is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as importantEvening, weekend, holiday, and event availabilityWashington MAST Permit + Food Worker Card (or ability to obtain)PerksHealth insurance stipendPaid Time Off (PTO)50% employee discount on beerComplimentary weekly crowler fillEmployee merchandise discountsOpportunities to attend festivals and community eventsRoom to grow and make a real impact at an independent breweryWe're looking for someone who can run the taproom without being afraid to work the taproom.
