POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as a friendly, knowledgeable representative of Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center while helping guests discover everything the property has to offer. This position is primarily responsible for enrolling new members into the Cedar Crossing Discovery Club while supporting promotions, special events, tournaments, giveaways, and other marketing initiatives throughout the property. The successful candidate is energetic, outgoing, approachable, and enjoys interacting with people while creating exceptional guest experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive: Discovery Club Enrollment Proactively engage guests throughout the property and introduce them to the Cedar Crossing Discovery Club. Enroll new members into the Discovery Club while accurately explaining membership benefits. Assist guests with account questions and basic loyalty program information. Promote Discovery Club participation during promotions and special events. Guest Engagement Welcome guests with enthusiasm and professionalism. Build positive relationships through friendly, engaging conversations. Answer general questions about the property, promotions, entertainment, dining, and amenities. Create memorable first impressions for new and returning guests. Promotions & Events Assist with promotions, giveaways, tournaments, concerts, grand openings, and special events. Help distribute promotional materials, prizes, and giveaway items. Support event setup, registration, and guest check-in. Represent Cedar Crossing professionally at on-property and community events as assigned. Team Collaboration Work closely with Marketing, Player Development, Casino Operations, and other departments. Communicate guest feedback and opportunities to management. Assist with departmental projects and marketing initiatives as assigned. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Compliance Ensure all guest interactions comply with company policies and gaming regulations. Promote responsible gaming practices. Protect confidential guest information. Maintain accurate enrollment records and required documentation Other Responsibilities Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position's supervisor. Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, promotions, or sales experience preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality. Comfortable initiating conversations with guests. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications or equivalent and menu driven programs.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Must have ability to: Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests and outside contacts. Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations: Attend required training sessions offered by the casino. Obtain and maintain required license(s). Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department. Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gambling. Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls. Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management. Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must have ability to: Work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently. Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays. Sit or stand for extended amounts of time. Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, may be exposed to secondhand smoke and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Lift 25 pounds.
