This is an event-based, per diem position with no minimum or guaranteed weekly hours. Events are typically 3-4 hour shifts, with approximately 3-9 hours available when events are scheduled to start. Additional shifts may become available as the business grows. Must be 18+. This could be a great fit for a college student looking for a fun, flexible job with occasional hours.
Pay:
$20/hour plus an attendance-based event bonus. Total compensation may be up to approximately $135 per event, depending on event length and attendance. This role is equal parts art instructor, event host, and social connector. We're looking for someone who can confidently teach a prepared project step-by-step while keeping the room relaxed, engaged, and having fun. What you'll do:
- Lead guests through prepared art and craft projects
- Demonstrate techniques and explain steps clearly
- Help guests who need additional guidance
- Encourage conversation and interaction among attendees
- Keep the atmosphere upbeat, welcoming, and social
- Use humor and personality to help guests feel comfortable
- Assist with event setup, supplies, and cleanup We're looking for someone who is:
- 18 years of age or older
- Comfortable with art and hands-on crafts
- Enthusiastic and comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Friendly, humorous, and naturally good at getting people talking
- Patient and encouraging with complete beginners
- Able to teach without making guests feel pressured to create something "perfect"
- Dependable and comfortable independently leading an event
- Comfortable with an event-based schedule that may vary from week to week.
You do not need to be a professional artist. Being able to learn our projects, teach them clearly, and create a fun experience for the people in the room matters much more.
