Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen staff. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services and maintaining the high standards of our restaurant. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover. Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Monitor dining area for cleanliness and guest needs, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Collaborate with team members to enhance overall guest services in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Toast POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and staff alike. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing reservations and seating arrangements. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor. A passion for providing outstanding guest services in a restaurant or hotel setting is highly valued.
