Job Description

Vision for the
Role:
The Hume SoCal Host serves as the primary point of contact for incoming guest groups, acting as a liaison between the guests and various departments (Food Service, Accommodations, Production, and Activities). The goal of the role is to provide a smooth, welcoming, and organized experience through proactive service and clear communication.

The Role:
Preparation:
Review the group's datasheet thoroughly to understand all arrangements. Before arrival, confirm that buildings are clean, radio departments, and ensure printed datasheets are distributed to staff. Act as the point person for any issues or last-minute requests.
Guest Arrival:
Meet the group's Admin to hand off essential materials (radios, keys, roster, etc.), collect payments if needed, and ensure all Terms and Conditions are completed.
Programming & Presentation:
Deliver an introductory Hume presentation (10-15 minutes) covering history, safety, and essential procedures.
Meal Service:
Arrive 5-10 minutes early to check on food readiness, greet guests, answer questions, and assist as needed. Stay for 15-30 minutes per meal and always check in with the Admin before departing.
Ongoing Support:
Maintain clear communication with departments to verify that sessions, activities, and facilities are ready. Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment and represent Hume Christian Camps' values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Strong communication and organizational skills required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed. Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision. Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps' Statement of Faith. Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 25 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job. Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.

Salary:
