Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in the hospitality industry. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an engaging first impression of the restaurant. Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to ensure timely seating of guests. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about menu offerings, reservations, and special events. Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods while keeping guests informed of their wait times and setting of tables. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting area. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall guest relations. Utilize POS system for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences when applicable. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest relations. Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a cohesive team atmosphere. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
