Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests with warmth, and coordinating seating arrangements efficiently. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help foster a positive dining experience, encouraging guest satisfaction and loyalty. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of our restaurant, contributing to a lively and hospitable environment. Duties Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, establishing a friendly first impression Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts to ensure efficient table turnover Assist guests with seating arrangements, special requests, and guest relations to enhance their experience Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff to coordinate guest seating and timing Uphold food safety standards by ensuring proper handling of guest information and maintaining cleanliness in the host station Qualifications Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting preferred Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and welcoming demeanor Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being Join us in delivering exceptional hospitality by creating memorable dining experiences!
