Responsibilities Welcome guests with enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring they feel valued from arrival through departure Manage restaurant reservation systems and guest seating arrangements to optimize flow and minimize wait times Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and timely service Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and guest relations to foster a welcoming atmosphere Skills Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting, with excellent guest service skills Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS Effective communication skills, including phone communication and proper phone etiquette Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organization under pressure Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and seating allocations Familiarity with food safety procedures and hospitality best practices Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred Exceptional organizational skills to coordinate seating and manage guest flow seamlessly Previous food service experience highly desirable for understanding restaurant operations and guest expectations Join our team where your hospitality skills will shine!
